UNITE, BRUNEL HOUSE, BRISTOL

Brunel House, named after the engineer who designed it in the 1830s, is a prime example of how modern design can seamlessly blend with historical architecture. The building's stunning neo-classical facade and former use as a hotel for transatlantic travelers on the SS Great Western are a testament to its rich history.

However, it's the eco-friendly garden that truly sets Brunel House apart. Designed with the local wildlife in mind, the garden features a wildflower meadow, bat and bird boxes, bee hotels, and log pile sanctuaries for insects and reptiles. The garden is a three-tiered private space that features original murals from local artist Andy Council, adding a touch of artistic flair to the serene natural surroundings.

Inside, the building boasts 246 modern and self-contained bedrooms, including studios with a private bathroom and kitchen. These rooms can be conveniently booked online. University of Bristol students can also book en-suite rooms in shared flats by contacting the UoB accommodation team.

The ground floor of Brunel House features a large common room, complete with beanbags, comfortable sofas, TVs, free pool and ping pong tables, and a separate study room. This common area provides the perfect space for socializing or studying, and the modern amenities cater to the needs of the contemporary student.

Located in the heart of Bristol, Brunel House is just moments away from ample green space at both Brandon Hill Park and College Green. The lively Park Street area is also within close proximity, while Bristol Bus Station is just a 10-minute walk away. Brunel House provides a modern and eco-friendly student living space that is seamlessly integrated with its historical surroundings
